Delivery
UK Delivery
- We currently deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom only.
- Delivery costs and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout before you place your order.
- Free UK delivery is available on orders over £50 (where applicable).
Order Processing
- Orders are usually processed and dispatched within 3–7 working days after payment is confirmed.
- Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a dispatch confirmation email. Where tracking is available, this will be included in that email.
Delivery Delays
- Delivery times are estimates and may occasionally be affected by factors outside our control (such as postal delays).
- If your order has not arrived within a reasonable time after dispatch, please contact us at thelocalgiftcompany20205@gmail.com quoting your order number.
Returns & Refunds
This policy applies to purchases made through our Shopify online store and complies with UK consumer law, including the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Your Right to Cancel (change of mind)
If you are shopping online, you have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason.
- The cancellation period ends 14 days after the day you receive your order.
- To cancel, you must notify us by email at: thelocalgiftcompany20205@gmail.com within this period, quoting your order number.
- Once you have told us you wish to cancel, you have a further 14 days to return the item(s) to us.
Returning Items
- Items must be returned unused, in their original condition, and with all original packaging intact.
- Customers are responsible for the cost of return postage, unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect.
- We recommend using a tracked postal service, as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit.

Refunds
- Refunds are processed via Shopify back to the original payment method used at checkout.
- Once we receive the returned item (or proof of return), we will issue your refund within 14 days.
- Where applicable, the cost of standard delivery will also be refunded.
- Refunds can take up to 7 days to be processed from the date we receive your order back to us. Please note it can take up to an additional 5 days for your refund to appear in your account once processed.
Hygiene-Sensitive & Non-Returnable Items
For hygiene and health protection reasons, certain items are exempt from the right to cancel once unsealed.
- Earrings and other pierced jewellery cannot be returned or refunded if they have been opened, worn, or removed from their original sealed packaging, unless they are faulty or not as described.
- This does not affect your statutory rights if the item is defective.
Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your item is:
- faulty
- damaged on arrival
- or not as described
you are entitled to a remedy under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
